TO THE HONOURABLE, THE SPEAKER AND THE HONOURABLE, THE MEMBERS OF THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY IN PARLIAMENT ASSEMBLED:

THE HUMBLE PETITION OF THE UNDERSIGNED CITIZENS OF THE STATE OF VICTORIA, RESPECTFULLY SHEWETH THAT: we do not support the creation of a large single National Park in the Otway Ranges.

1 The Otway State Forest and other public lands under investigation by the Victorian Environmental Assessment Council (VEAC) be retained for multiple use.

2 The State Government to effectively and sustainably manage and maintain our forest and public lands to meet the requirements of the local and wider community of Victoria.

3 The responsible Department(s)/ organisations to regularly undertake adequate fire, vermin and weed hazard reduction and maintain a high standard road, track and firebreak systems.
